A local booze-hound who hangs out at Moe's bar every day of his life except for the time that he sobered up to take helicopter lessons.

Bart

The first child of Homer and Marge Simpson.  He's a little brat...enough said.

Bee Guy

The Spanish comic who has amused the Simpsons with his antics on channel ocho for years.

Bleeding Gums Murphy

Perhaps Lisa's best friend and fellow saxophone player who's life was cut short during a stay in the hospital.

Blinky the Three Eyed Fish

A fish who had the unfortunate circumstance of living in a lake next to the nuclear power plant.

Bobo

Mr. Burns's childhood teddy bear.

Kent Brockman

The local TV news anchor on channel six who has inspired us all with his superior news casting.

Charles Montgomery Burns

A cold hearted billionaire and owner of the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant.

Burn's Dog

What would you expect...It's Burns's dog.

Burn's Mother

Mr. Burns's mom who is really really super old.  According to Waylon Smithers, she has limited capacities--all she can do is dial (the phone) and yell.

Sea Captain

The man that has everything to do with the sea in The Simpsons.  He owns restaurants, pilots boats, runs bait shops, etc...

Carl

One of Homer's co-workers who usually hangs around with Lenny.

Cletus (The Slack Jawed Yokel)

The man who is the biggest country bumpkin in history.  He has 26 kids, is married to his sister, and picks up road kill to provide food for weddings.

Comic Book Store Guy

Owns the Androids Dungeon and Baseball Card Shop and is a die-hard Star Wars fan and collector of memorabilia.

Dolph

One of Nelson Muntz's sidekicks.

Dr. Nick Riviera

The competition to Dr. Hibbert who went to Hollywood Upstairs Medical College.  Lisa takes Bart to his clinic to try to get his shoulder popped back into place.

Eddie

One of Springfield's "finest" cops.

Edna Kraboppel

Bart's teacher who is going out with Principal Skinner.

Fat Tony

The mafia's leader in Springfield.  

Professor John Frink

The "smart guy" in Springfield who seems to know the answer to every question ever asked.

The Capitol City Goofball

The mascot for Capitol City's baseball team.

Abe "Grandpa" Simpson

Homer's dad who lives at the Springfield Retirement Castle.

Nelson Muntz

The leader of the group of boys that beat the crap out of every "dork" at Springfield Elementary.

Reverend Lovejoy's wife who is the town gossip.

Herman

Weapons expert who owns a gun shop in Springfield.  Provided Bart with strategy for avoiding the bullying of Nelson Muntz.

Dr. Julius Hibbert

A doctor who works at the Springfield Hospital.

Homer

The most popular character on the show.  If you don't know anything about him, you're screwed.

Itchy

Cartoon mouse who always ends up killing Scratchy in some way.

Jacques

Man who was in love with Marge before Marge chose to stay with Homer.

Jasper

Grandpa's only companion while staying at the Springfield Retirement Castle.

Jebediah Springfield

The founder of the town of Springfield.

Jimbo Jones

Another one of Nelson's cronies.

Karl

Was Homer's assistant when he was promoted to Junior Executive.

Kearney

Yet another one of Nelson's cronies.

Krusty Krustofsky

The loveable "Bozo-like" clown who broadcasts Itchy and Scratchy on his show.

Larry

A lush who hangs around at Moe's all the time.

Lenny

Works with Homer and hangs around with Carl a lot.

Lewis

A student at Springfield Elementary School who isn't really that important of a character.

Lionel Hutz

A crappy lawyer who can never quite make it in the law business.

Lisa Simpson

The smartest kid at Springfield Elementary and is even smarter than most adults.

Lou

A cop who is pretty dumb.

Reverend Timothy Lovejoy

A not-so-great minister who preaches at the local church.

Maggie Simpson

The loveable Simpson baby.

Marge Bouvier Simpson

Homer Simpson's wife who likes to paint and work on things around the house.

Marge's Mom

Not much to say about her except that she is Marge's mom.

Martin Prince

A kid that no one really likes in school because he is a book worm and is pretty smart.

Maude Flanders

Was the wife of Ned Flanders before she was tragically killed by t-shirt cannons.

McBain (Rainier Wolfcastle)

Star of many films in The Simpsons.  This is a character that Matt Groening created to make fun of action heroes like Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Shwarzenagger.

Milhouse Van Houten

Bart's best friend who likes Lisa a lot.

Moe Syslak

A local bartender who owns Moe's Bar and is one of the ugliest men alive.

Mole Man

A little old man who can't see very well that pops up in the show every once in a while.

Dr. Marvin Monroe

Was a family therapist who tried to counsel the Simpsons in an early episode.  He is now dead.

Ned Flanders

The Simpsons' next door neighbor who is a regular churchgoer and calls Rev. Lovejoy whenever he has the slightest problem.

Otto

The bus driver who loves heavy metal so much that he gave up his future wife for it.

Patty

Sister of Marge and Selma.  There is evidence that she is a lesbian, but I'm not really sure.

"Diamond" Joe Quimby

The mayor of Springfield who is similar to JFK.  He usually has multiple relationships going on with women at the same time.

Ralph Wiggum

Son of Police Chief Wiggum.  He is arguably the dumbest kid in school.

Rod Flanders

Rod is the son of Ned Flanders and the brother of Todd Flanders.

Sam

A local drunk who spends a lot of time at Moe's.

Sanjay

Apu's brother who helps run the Kwik-E-Mart.

Scratchy

Cartoon cat that always gets killed by Itchy in the show Itchy and Scratchy.

Selma Bouvier Terwilliger Hutz McLure

Selma is the sister of Marge and Patty.  She has been married multiple times (as you can see).

Sherry

A bratty twin of her sister Terry.

"Sideshow" Bob Terwilliger

Used to be Krusty's sidekick until he framed Krusty for robbery.  When Bart Simpson got him thrown in jail, he plotted to kill Bart.  After his many attempts to kill him, he is still in jail.

"Sideshow" Mel

Krusty's sidekick and replacement for Sideshow Bob.

Principal Seymour Skinner

The principal of the Sprinfield Elementary School and arch nemesis of Bart.

Waylan Smithers

Mr. Burn's assistant who happens to be a flaming homosexual.

Snake

Snake is the main criminal who preys on the city of Sprinfgfield.

Terry

A bratty twin of her sister Sherry.

Todd Flanders

Son of Ned Flanders and brother of Rod Flanders.

Troy McLure

A washed up film star who is always reminding you of the films that he starred in.

Wendell

A kid that no one really likes.  Oh yeah, he always pukes when he goes on bus trips.

Chief Clancy Wiggum

The dumbest police chief in the business.

Groundskeeper Willie

Willie is the janitor at Springfield Elementary.
